Rolex Explorer II Replica Watch is a family of luxury watches to be reckoned with. The white dial, also known as the ‘Polar’ dial, is extraordinarily legible, thanks to an excellent decision made by Rolex’s experienced design team. They lumed darkly polished indices and hands, making a contrast on the face that renders the indications as clear and legible as the fresh tracks of a polar bear.

The Rolex Explorer II 16570 has a 40 mm case, pretty standard for an Oyster Professional, and a sapphire crystal. That hollow-middle-linked bracelet is secured with a folding clasp. And the movement behind the dial, in addition to its GMT function, powers central hours, minutes, seconds, and a date window at 3 o’clock. Look after yours, it’s a classic of the adventure-watch style. And do it a favour: take it cave diving once in a while.
Of course, the Explorer can’t hit the depths a Sub can: reference 16570 is only water resistant to 100 m. But the chances of dropping it deeper than that when you’re halfway up a mountain, or in a little-known cave network, are pretty slim. Instead, the Explorer concentrates on two things: telling you whether it’s night or day (useful when you are cut off from a view of the sky or are working in Polar environments), and being incredibly difficult to break.
